Our History

Bibelseminar Bonn (BSB) was founded in the fall of 1993 as a theological training center for the church and mission work of the Bund Taufgesinnter Gemeinden (BTG) and the Internationales Centrum fuer Weltmission (ICW). At that time, BSB established the goal of becoming a dynamic training center for both volunteer and full-time church workers and missionaries. It is our vision to relevantly prepare students for their Christian ministries.

We exist as a theological training center of the Bund Taufgesinnter Gemeinden (BTG) and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft evangelikaler Gemeinden (AeG), both evangelical church unions. Bibelseminar Bonn is also affiliated with the mission organization “To All Nations“(formerly ICW). BSB is also a member of the Konferenz bibeltreuer Ausbildungsstaetten (KbA), which is a European association of conservative Bible schools and seminaries.

Bibelseminar Bonn comes from a Baptist-Mennonite faith tradition and stands for an evangelical ecclesiology. We agree with the Apostles Creed, the Basis of Faith of the Evangelical Alliance, the Lausanne Covenant, and the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy.

We affirm the Holy Bible as the only authoritative and acceptable foundation for faith and teaching.

The future of a church depends, among other things, upon how well its leaders are trained. Therefore, through the biblical training at BSB, we would like to help students to cultivate a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, to gain tools for studying and understanding the Bible, to acquire practical skills for service in the church, and to develop a mission-oriented worldview.
